These components are actually responsible for producing your vapor and they can have a huge impact on both flavor and vapor quality. The Basics

All atomizers have a few things in common. They contain the coils and wicks necessary to turn e-liquid into vapor when supplied with voltage from vape mods. There are designs which feature e-liquid storage tanks as well as top filling designs that allow vapers to drip e-liquid into the atomizer as needed.

Rebuildable Atomizers

While some atomizer systems are designed to use simple plug and play coil replacements, rebuildable atomizers tend to be more popular with serious vapers. These are atomizers that are designed to use special decks where coils can be manually replaced with either store bought or homemade coils.

The process of making vape coils has evolved over the years, becoming a near artform. Materials like steel, nichrome, and kanthal wires as well as certain metal mesh materials. Different wire gauges and wrapping techniques can be employed to create coils with different amounts of electrical resistance. The resistance of a coil indicates how easily electrical current can pass through it and is measured in ohms. Low resistance coils are going to let large amounts of power through quickly, while high resistance coils will draw power slowly.

Vapers who want to get the most out of their vaping devices will often experiment with different coil building techniques in order to achieve the best possible results. Many use a rebuildable atomizer deck combined with a regulated mod that can detect the resistance of their coils. RDTAs have an e-liquid storage tank that automatically drips juice onto the coils when activated. Sub Ohm

For vapers who want superior flavor and vapor production, sub ohm vape tanks are one of the best options. What makes these tanks different from other atomizers is their coils. As we explained earlier resistance, measured in ohms, determines how much power passes through a coil. Sub ohm vaporizers use coils with less than an ohm of resistance, allowing power to pass through them easily. This has a few unique advantages over other atomizers.

One of the biggest advantages is going to be vapor production. More power going through the coils faster heat up times and more rapid vapor production. This vapor also tends to be warmer than vapor produced by RBAs, which many vapers enjoy. Because these atomizers produce such large clouds of vapor, using e-liquids with little to no nicotine is recommended in order to avoid ingesting uncomfortable amounts of nicotine.

Another side effect of rapid vapor production is incredible flavor. The fast vapor production from these atomizers means that the vapor they produce can be incredibly flavorful as long as their wick and coils are clean. Users can expect to taste subtle flavors in their vapor that might not have been apparent with the use of a traditional rebuildable atomizer.

Because these atomizers are designed to use coils with very low resistances, vapers will have to use manufacturer coils instead of building coils themselves. It is possible to build sub ohm coils to use with RBAs, but using a dedicated sub ohm tank is the best option in terms of getting consistent results from your vaporizer.
